DUBAI// A 29-year-old has been sentenced to 10 years in jail for carrying trying to smuggle more than four kilograms of hashish into the country.

The Iranian was caught at Dubai International Airport on February 26 this year.

At the Dubai Criminal Court last month, he denied a charge of smuggling 4,92kg of hashish.
