Two loads of narcotics with a street value of more than $16,000 were seized by U.S. Customs and Border Protection last weekend.
Officers at the GatewayInternationalBridge in Brownsville found the drugs concealed in two vehicles. The first was found Friday in a blue 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer driven by a 20-year-old woman from Westminster, South Carolina.
Aided by a canine unit and imaging technology, CBP officers found 11 packages containing more than 44 pounds of marijuana stashed in the TrailBlazer.
