TEXAS (Laredo): CBP officers seize $1.3 million dollars in illegal narcotics

LAREDO, Texas – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized over $1.3 million dollars’ worth of illegal narcotics during three separate actions over the weekend.

According to CBP the first incident happened on January 25th at the Lincoln Juarez Bridge when an officer referred a 2008 Nissan Sentra to secondary inspection.

The vehicle was driven by a 60-year Mexican citizen from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.

When officers searched the vehicle they found 26 packages, which contained 63 pounds of alleged cocaine.

The second incident happened on January 27th at the same port of entry when an officer referred a Nissan Sentra to secondary inspection.
The vehicle was driven by a 41-year-old Mexican citizen from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.

When agents searched the car they found 10 pounds of alleged cocaine and 12 pounds of alleged heroin.

The last seizure happened on January 28th at the same bridge when an officer referred a 2008 Nissan Sentra to secondary inspection.

The car was driven by a 39-year-old man from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.
When officers searched the vehicle they found 25 packages, which contained 61 pounds of alleged cocaine.

All three seizures have a combined estimated street value of $1,324,640.
CBP officers seized the narcotics and all three drivers were turned over to Homeland Security.
