The crime branch-based special cell, dealing with cases related to Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS), arrested eight persons in two separate actions within a span a few hours seizing over 391kg ganja worth around Rs39.1 lakh. Three more carriers managed to flee dodging the cops during the action, which ended on Monday after initiating a day ago. The arrested also include an externee. Five cars and some mobile phones were also seized.
