A deputy from Iran Drug Control Headquarters announced on Wednesday that, above 12 tons of psychotropics and drugs have been seized in 21 provinces across Iran in a period from August 23 to 31, 2019.
As Naser Aslani said, of the total amount of the seized drugs (12,873 kilograms) some 85 percent was opium i.e. 10,886 kilograms.Some 839 kilograms of hashish, 154 kilograms of crystal, 134 kilograms of heroin, 491 kilograms of morphine, and 3,313 psychotropic tablets were the other seized drugs in the said time, he said.
