GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) â U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents made a major drug bust Tuesday at the Detroit Border.
CBP says agents seized 339 pounds of cocaine near the Ambassador Bridge port of entry.
âA Canada-bound commercial vehicle was selected for examination and a subsequent physical inspection conducted by officers revealed bricks of a white powdery substance concealed within two duffel bags and four moving boxes,â CBP said in a news release. âThe illicit cargo was confirmed to be cocaine through subsequent testing.â
The truck and trailer were seized along with the drugs. CBP identified the driver as a citizen of India. He is expected to face federal charges.
