Authorities have made 17 arrests and seized $1.5 million worth of steroids as part of a six-month investigation into an alleged « national black market ».
Since February, police and Australian Border Force (ABF) officials have been investigating Queensland-based criminal syndicates’ importation of performance-enhancing drugs.
As part of that operation, codenamed UMBRAL2025, authorities executed multiple search warrants across the state’s south-east.
They say they have also seized half a million dollars in alleged criminal assets like cash, vehicles and drug-manufacturing equipment.
