Ecuadorian authorities have cracked down today, November 14, on a criminal group involved in international drug trafficking, an operation that resulted in the arrest of 12 people, as well as 11 others in Spain, including seven Albanians.
Media Cronica reports that agents carried out eight raids this morning in the municipalities of Samborondon, Naranjal and Daule, which belong to the province of Guayas.
According to reports, the group, which also had its branch in Spain, extended its activity to European countries, mainly Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Africa. The value of the trafficked drugs is estimated at 300 million dollars.
