Hundreds of thousands of LSD tablets worth millions of dollars have been taken off the streets in one of the largest seizures of the drug in Australia.
Two people have been charged in Victoria following a two-year joint border force investigation, involving US Homeland Security investigators, into the alleged importation of LSD tabs.
Officers allegedly seized a combined worth of $15 million of the drug after executing search warrants on Wednesday at residential homes in Mount Martha and Wollert.
That includes 750,000 LSD tabs, 60 grams of LSD crystal and about $45,000 cash and $50,000 in cryptocurrency.
Police were first alerted to the alleged operation by US authorities who sparked an initial investigation in September 2024.
US authorities identified a person of interest in Victoria, and flagged the case with the Australian Border Force.
