A Russian beauty queen who was persuaded by her drug dealer boyfriend to hand out packages to clients while he was away « on business » has been jailed.

Blonde Anastasia Kravtsova, 23, was the winner of a string of local beauty contests, including the 2014 Miss University of her local town.

But she will be unable to walk down the catwalk now for another four years after she was caught handing drugs to undercover police officers.

The model was arrested as soon as she handed over the package containing 0.5 grams of amphetamine to the undercover officers in an operation carried out near her home in the city of Bryansk, western Russia’s Bryansk Oblast region.

Also arrested was her 26-year-old boyfriend, Andrey Sagandykov, who had persuaded her to help him out with deliveries.

It was revealed that he was a former officer in the Russian version of SWAT.

But he discovered there was more money to be made in drugs, and set up a business in which he purchased, transported and sold on illegal drugs.

He had asked his girlfriend help him out and paid her.

After searching Sagandykov’s home, police found amphetamine and other illicit drugs.

Drug dealer Sagandykov claimed he was innocent and had nothing to do with the arrest of his girlfriend, however the judges did not believe him and he was jailed for 10 years in a high-security prison.

His girlfriend Anastasia made a partial admission of guilt and was sentenced for four years.

In 2012, Anastasia won the beauty pageant Miss Bikini, and was elected Vice-Miss Bryansk in 2013, as well as getting People’s Choice Award at the same contest.
