In a major narcotic haul, the Idukki Excise special squad seized 11 kg of hashish oil and arrested two persons while checking vehicles at Chelmada, near Vandiperiyar, on Tuesday afternoon.

The contraband was found concealed in a jute bag, inside bottles weighing one kilogram each, inside a car. The arrested have been identified as Varidamthadathil Manoj, 35, and Kollapally Prasad, 49.
