U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers recently seized over $800,000 worth of cocaine and heroin in three separate incidents at the Laredo checkpoints.
The most recent seizure happened at the Gateway to the Americas Bridge on Monday, when a 38-year-old man from the United States who was riding a bicycle was referred for a secondary examination, officials said. CBP officers found 3.57 pounds of heroin that have a street value of $97,200.
