VIETNAM đŸ‡»đŸ‡ł (Ho Chi Minh City police) : Vietnam indicts 1,529 in massive drug bust linked to air hostess scandal

Police in HCM City have indicted 1,529 suspects and dismantled more than 500 criminal branches as part of an expanded investigation into the high-profile case involving four female flight attendants caught smuggling drugs from France to Vietnam.

On May 3, Ho Chi Minh City police announced updates on the ongoing investigation into case VN10, which began when four Vietnam Airlines flight attendants were caught attempting to smuggle narcotics through Tan Son Nhat Airport on March 16, 2023.

To date, authorities have tracked the “flow” of narcotics through complex networks and successfully dismantled over 500 branches and sub-networks of criminal organizations operating across 36 provinces and cities. Investigators have indicted 1,529 suspects, seizing 568.5 kilograms of various narcotics, 12 firearms, 67 bullets, 3 grenades, and other related evidence.
