Five Mexican men will appear in court charged in relation to the alleged production of meth, following a National Crime Agency investigation.

The suspects are due to appear tomorrow (10 September) at Warwickshire Crown Court.

They are all accused of conspiracy to produce methamphetamine, a Class A drug.

The defendants were arrested on Thursday 13 August, charged and initially appeared at Coventry Magistrates’ Court where they were remanded to custody.

They are: Alejandro Ambriz Dimas, 45, from Michoacan in southern Mexico; Victora Ramirez, 47, Fausto Beltran, 33, Lioncio Moso Borja, 37, and Jose Nunez Angolo, 44.

All except Dimas are from Culiacan, in the Sinaloa region of north west Mexico.

It is alleged the men were part of a crime group manufacturing the drug at a meth lab on remote farmland near Furnace End in Warwickshire.

The NCA action at the location was carried out with the support of multi-agency partners. The Agency would like to thank Warwickshire Police, West Midlands Fire Service, and West Midlands Ambulance Service which was on standby to assist.
