Nevertheless, after three years on the run, one of the biggest cocaine distributors in South America (and Europe!) was finally arrested the day March 13th, in Bolivia, where he was hiding… or rather, where no one wanted to see him. And almost none of the French newspapers mentioned it (or only belatedly), even though he was attributed with at least 16 tons of cocaine shipments to Europe (it’s much more in reality). Marc is quite right: we don’t really care!

At first glance, this arrest seems like good news for Bolivia. In reality, it risks turning into a political disaster in the coming weeks… and you can probably already imagine why… The boomerang effect of the political support he enjoyed for so long is likely to be devastating!
