Daniel Shaun Harris
A DRUG dealer responsible from supplying Cornwall and Devon with cocaine and amphetamine has been jailed after two years on the run.
Daniel Shaun Harris, 45, from East Sussex, has evaded capture since January 2013 but was today sentenced to nine and a half years in prison at Taunton Crown Court.
Harris, from East Sussex, was a defendant in Operation Rosco, a long term covert investigation into the supply of cocaine and amphetamine into Cornwall and Devon.
The other main defendants were sentenced at Plymouth Crown Court in September last year and with today’s sentencing it brings the total custodial sentences imposed to 80 years for the main conspirators.
Harris alias Hyde had originally been arrested with other conspirators in April 2012. He was released on Police bail, which he subsequently breached in January 2013 by failing to appear.
Despite extensive enquires including inclusion on Crimewatch he remained at large.
In February this year Harris was eventually located at an address in Amsterdam. He was found to be in possession of a revolver, false documents, a large quantity of cash and a suitcase containing vacuum sealing equipment, bags and traces of white powder. He was arrested and detained in custody.
