Columbus Convicted Felon Sentenced to 14 Years in Prison for Attempting to Sell “Meth” in Harris County, Georgia

COLUMBUS, Ga. – A Columbus man with a lengthy criminal history was sentenced to serve 168 months in federal prison for attempting to distribute a half-kilo of methamphetamine, said Peter D. Leary, the Acting U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia.

Jeffery McBride, 40, of Columbus, was sentenced by to serve 168 months in prison to be followed by three years of supervised release by U.S. District Judge Clay D. Land after previously pleading guilty to possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. There is no parole in the federal system.

Justice Department files lawsuit against Creve Coeur pharmacist for Controlled Substances Act violations

ST. LOUIS – In a complaint filed February 23, 2021, by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri, the government alleges Elizabeth Dembo unlawfully dispensed controlled substances to patients during her time as the pharmacist-in-charge of Olive Street Pharmacy, LLC. The retail pharmacy is located in the 10000 block of Old Olive Street Road, in Creve Coeur, Missouri. Dembo repeatedly filled prescriptions while disregarding ample warning signs of diversion, or « red flags, » indicating the prescriptions were not legitimate.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A Kansas City, Missouri, man has pleaded guilty in federal court to illegally possessing methamphetamine and a firearm.

Indiana Nurse Practitioner Arrested

MERRILLVILLE, Ind. – Special Agent in Charge Robert J. Bell, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Chicago Division, announced that the DEA Merrillville District Office, with assistance from the United States Marshal Service, arrested Nurse Practitioner (N.P.) Chijioke Richard Jimonu, 63, of Hammond, Indiana, for illegally prescribing controlled substance medications.  N.P. Jimonu is being prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office, Northern District of Indiana.  The criminal trial is scheduled for April 26, 2021.

KC man pleads guilty to meth conspiracy, faces 10 years in prison

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – A Kansas City, Missouri, man pleaded guilty in federal court today to his role in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in Camden County, Missouri.

Stephen Joseph Sanchez, 35, pleaded guilty before U.S. Magistrate Judge Willie J. Epps Jr. to one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Co-defendant Jo Marie Pollina, 37, of Kansas City, Mo.  pleaded guilty to the same charge on June 30, 2020.

Meth Conversion Lab Found in Vacant Bronx Apartment

NEW YORK CITY – A methamphetamine conversion lab was safely dismantled at 3204 Kingsbridge Ave., Apt. 6A, Bronx, NY by members U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and New York City Police Department.  Agents and officers arrested three individuals and seized approximately 22 pounds of methamphetamine, 45 grams of heroin, and 2,000 pills with the appearance of Percocet and oxycodone that will be tested as possible counterfeits.

Cuba man sentenced for meth trafficking following high-speed police chase

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A Cuba, Missouri, man has been sentenced in federal court for methamphetamine trafficking following a high-speed police chase.

Shannon L. Brim, 33, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Roseann Ketchmark on Monday, Jan. 25, to 14 years in federal prison without parole.

Three Charged with Conspiring to Traffic Crystal Meth

Manchester man sentenced to five years in prison for dealing fentanyl

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – DEA New England Division Special Agent in Charge Brian D. Boyle and John H. Durham, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that MIKE CRUZ, also known as Mike Flores and “Mega,” 31, of Manchester, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer in New Haven to 60 months of imprisonment, followed by four years of supervised release, for distributing fentanyl.  Judge Meyer also ordered Cruz to pay a $10,000 fine.

DEA and SAMHSA announce winners of Red Ribbon Week campus video Public Service Announcement contest

WASHINGTON – The Drug Enforcement Administration and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration named North Dakota State College of Science, and the University of Miami winners of the 5th Annual Red Ribbon Week Campus Video PSA Contest. The contest, co-sponsored by DEA and SAMHSA, was part of the 2020 Red Ribbon Week activities. Participants produced a 30- to 60-second video public service announcement focusing on the dangers of alcohol and drug misuse among college students.

Dominican National sentenced to 10 years in prison for drug trafficking

BOSTON – A Dominican national was sentenced today in federal court in Boston for heroin trafficking.

Angel Martinez-Peguero, 30, who previously resided in Lawrence, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Allison D. Burroughs to 10 years in prison and four years of supervised release.

ETATS UNIS 🇺🇸 (New York): des procureurs fédéraux américains ont déposé des requêtes disant que le président hondurien Juan Orlando Hernández avait accepté des pots-de-vin de trafiquants de drogue et avait demandé aux forces armées du pays de protéger un laboratoire de cocaïne et sécuriser des expéditions aux États-Unis

Les documents citent le président hondurien Juan Orlando Hernández comme disant qu’il voulait  » pousser la drogue jusqu’au nez des gringos, en inondant les États-Unis de cocaïne « .

Les motions déposées vendredi auprès du district sud des États-Unis de New York ne nomment pas spécifiquement le président, le qualifiant de «CC-4», ou co-conspirateur n ° 4, mais l’identifient clairement en nommant son frère et son propre poste comme Président.

Le président, qui n’a pas été inculpé, a nié à plusieurs reprises tout lien avec des trafiquants malgré la condamnation en 2019 d’un de ses frères, Juan Antonio Hernandez. Au cours de ce procès, le président a été accusé d’avoir accepté plus d’un million de dollars du trafiquant de drogue mexicain Joaquín «El Chapo» Guzmán – une accusation répétée dans les nouvelles requêtes.

Pour toute réponse, Il a rétorqué que les trafiquants l’accusaient à tort et cherchaient à se venger.

L’ambassadeur du Honduras aux États-Unis, Luis Fernando Suazo, a rejeté samedi les nouvelles dépositions, qualifiant les affirmations des procureurs de «sans fondement» et réitérant la position du président selon laquelle elles se basent uniquement sur les déclarations de trafiquants de drogue.

PUERTO RICO 🇵🇷 (municipio de Fajardo): agentes de la Policía de Puerto Rico incautaron este viernes 204 bloques de cocaína

La Policía informó a través de un escueto comunicado de que en horas de la mañana de este viernes agentes adscritos a la Unidad de Fuerzas Unidas de Rápida Acción, junto al personal de la división de inteligencia de Fajardo, llevaron a cabo una intervención en la Marina Sardinera de ese municipio.

El comunicado destaca que en el lugar se ubicaba una embarcación marca Donzi, de 9 metros de eslora, la cual tenía en su interior 7 bultos de color azul y negro que contenían 204 bloques de cocaína.

Agentes de la Administración para el Control de Drogas (DEA, en inglés) se hicieron cargo de la investigación.

ST. LOUIS – U.S. District Judge Catherine D. Perry sentenced Armond Calvin to 240 months in prison today for one count of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and one count of using a firearm to commit murder in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. Calvin, 22, of St. Louis City, previously pleaded guilty on October 5, 2020.

South Texas siblings plead guilty for their roles in marijuana smuggling venture

LAREDO, Texas – Two South Texas men have admitted they organized the smuggling of approximately 170 kilograms of marijuana from El Cenizo to Laredo, announced Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Special Agent in Charge Steven S. Whipple and U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Patrick.

Roberto Chavarria, 38, pleaded guilty today, while his brother  – Daniel Chavarria, 35, entered his plea Dec. 1, 2020. The El Cenizo men admitted to conspiring to possess with intent to distribute marijuana.

St. Louis man sentenced to 25 years for heroin, cocaine distribution

ST. LOUIS – U.S. District Judge Ronnie L. White sentenced Robert Hill to 25 years in prison today for drug distribution and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

A jury had convicted Hill on Sept. 16, 2020 of one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute heroin and cocaine, and one count of felon in possession of a firearm .

COLOMBIA 🇨🇴 (cocaina, armas y persecución): así fue el decomiso de cerca de tres toneladas de cocaína

En las últimas horas, en uno de los primeros operativos del año contra el tráfico de drogas se decomisaron cerca de tres toneladas de cocaína que tenían destinos internacionales.

La Policía Nacional de Colombia a través de la Dirección de Antinarcóticos y en cooperación con la Agencia Antidrogas D.E.A, Guardacostas de los Estados Unidos y la Armada de República Dominicana, logró realizar en aguas internacionales mediante tres operativos, la captura de ocho personas y la incautación 2.750 kilos de cocaína. Al mismo tiempo, se incauta un material de guerra en la Alta Guajira”, indicó la Policía.

El operativo que se dio en Colombia y aguas internacionales dejó a ocho personas capturadas, según las autoridades.

FRANCE 🇫🇷 (Bordeaux – Tribunal correctionnel): vingt-quatre prévenus de nationalité colombienne, albanaise, italienne, turque ou française sont jugés depuis ce lundi matin dans le cadre d’un trafic international de cocaïne

A l’origine, c’est l’action des deux cotés de l’Atlantique de policiers et d’agents infiltrés, cornaqués par la DEA, l’agence anti-drogue américaine, qui ont surveillé le manège de ces trafiquants internationaux et permit le procès sous haute sécurité qui s’est ouvert ce matin devant le tribunal correctionnel de Bordeaux.

En novembre 2017, c’est une tonne 300 de cocaïne qui a été découverte dans une villa de Lacanau par les hommes du défunt OCRTIS, depuis rebaptisé OFAST.

Le renseignement, bien que remis en question par les fans des nouvelles technologies, reste indispensable aux régaliennes pour tenter de remplir la mission dont elles ont la charge.

RUSSIE 🇷🇺 (Moscou-Saint-Pétersbourg): FSB et DEA travaille la main dans la main

Au cours d’une opération spéciale, le FSB et la DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) ont démantelé un réseau de contrebande de cocaïne d’Amérique du Sud destinée à la Russie et au reste de l’Europe.

Au moins 330 kilogrammes de cocaïne ont été saisis.

Déroulement de l’opération

En mai, dans le cadre de la première opération conjointe avec le DEA à Saint-Pétersbourg, un dealer a été arrêté et un kilogramme de cocaïne a été saisi. Un mois plus tard, les services spéciaux ont arrêté les participants et l’un des organisateurs du groupe criminel alors qu’ils tentaient de vendre de la drogue. Les agents du FSB ont réussi à saisir 34 kilogrammes de cocaïne. Au stade final de l’opération, en novembre 2020, une cache a été trouvée dans la région de Moscou. Au cours de la perquisition, au moins 295 kilogrammes de drogue ont été trouvés.
