RIYADH: the police busted a drug-smuggling racket and seized a record 5.173 million amphetamines pills also known as Captagon.

Eleven smugglers have been rounded up in connection with drug smuggling case including 9 Saudi nationals and two Sudanese, reported Arabic daily Okaz.

Anti-narcotics squads acted swiftly following a tip off and confiscated 3 grams of pure heroin, an automatic machine gun and a pistol apart from amphetamine pills.
