COLOMBIE 🇨🇴: la ‘Armada Nacional’ a confirmé ce mardi à midi la saisie d’un semi-submersible chargé de 2045 kilos de cocaïne à destination des cartels mexicains.

Le contre-amiral Hernando Enrique Mattos Dager a déclaré que le semi-submersible avait été localisé alors qu’il se déplaçait à 35 miles nautiques du secteur connu sous le nom de Bocana Amarales, à Nariño.

L’opération coordonnée par la ‘Armada Nacional’ a eu le soutien des unités de la station de garde-côtes de Tumaco et de l’ARC des garde-côtes – Punta Soldado-, et d’une plate-forme aéronavale, qui après plusieurs minutes de poursuite a réussi à arrêter le semi-submersible.

Dans le semi-submersible 119 sacs ont été trouvés qui contenaient de la coke et du matériel de communication et de géolocalisation.
Au cours de l’opération, trois hommes ont été capturés: un Colombien, un Équatorien et un Mexicain. La cocaïne saisie, selon les renseignements, appartiendrait au groupe armé organisé résiduel ‘GAOR‘, comme sont décrits les dissidents de la guérilla des FARC disparus, qui se nomment eux-mêmes: «‘Guerrillas Unidas del Pacífico’».

COLOMBIA: “Narco subs” are found by the Colombian authorities

submarineColombian police have in the past week found two home-made submarines in their waters, used by drug traffickers to move cocaine up to the United States.

On Friday they announced the discovery of a 45-foot semi-submersible craft off the coast of Candelilla de la Mar, in the far south, close to the border with Ecuador.

The vessel, valued at $1 million (£700,000), has a capacity of four tonnes of alkaloids – a group of chemicals which includes cocaine. It was equipped with a diesel motor, propellers and a rudder, making Colombian police suspect it was for imminent use. Police confiscated it and took it to nearby Tumaco.

The second submersible was found and destroyed in the Timba river, which runs from Cali to the sea. Six people were arrested as they were working on the vessel, the Colombian marines said.

“Narco subs” are found by the Colombian authorities with relative frequency. Four have been detected in the Pacific so far this year.
