U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers recently seized a significant amount of alleged methamphetamine carrying a combined estimated street value of more than $3 million in two separate enforcement actions.
“CBP officers display exemplary vigilance in keeping dangerous drugs off our streets,” said Port Director Gregory Alvarez, Laredo Port of Entry. “The narcotics that were seized are the kind that have been devastating the most vulnerable members of our communities.”
CBP officers arrested the drivers and seized the narcotics. The cases were turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Homeland Security Investigations (ICE-HSI) special agents for further investigation.read more
