Dubai Police have seized more than 14 million Captagon pills in an international operation with Kuwait.
The consignment was hidden inside sacks of corn and spread across five containers in a bid to avoid detection as it arrived in the “port of an Arab country”, authorities said.
A smuggling network was bust by authorities in the UAE and Kuwait, leading to the arrest of three men. The accused were found unloading the sacks for storage.
The operation resulted in the confiscation of 2,250kg of Captagon tablets, totalling 14,062,500 pills, Dubai Police said.

But certain officers work as plainclothes men, with very special powers: #DNRED (The National Department of Customs Information and Investigation) is an elite unit of 750 agents, with the job of dismantling the biggest trafficking networks.To get to the head of the networks, these officers use very special methods. Stakeouts, tails, seizures, of course… but also collaboration with smugglers, payments to informers, in other words to a”grass” Informer, a trade that can pay very well, but which can also cost very dear. Marc Fievet, one of the Customs best informers has languished in jail for eleven years. The Canadian authorities sentenced him to life for carrying over 5 tonnes of cocaine for one of drug-smuggling’s godfathers. Marc Fievet claims he was on an infiltration mission for the Customs.Is he an informer abandoned by the Customs or was he playing a double game? We tell his story, worthy of a State scandal.

Trois agents de la police d’État figurent parmi les sept personnes arrêtées lors d’une opération antimafia à Rome, accusés d’appartenir à une organisation criminelle spécialisée dans le trafic de stupéfiants.
L’ordonnance de placement en détention provisoire a été exécutée par la Direction d’Investigation Antimafia sur décision du juge d’instruction du Tribunal de Rome. Selon les enquêteurs, les policiers impliqués non seulement détenaient et cédaient d’importantes quantités de drogue, mais accédaient illégalement au système SDI, révélant des informations confidentielles et des nouvelles de service à une personne opérant dans le quartier romain du Tufello.
